Originally a 17th century coaching inn, this multi award-winning gem is located at the historic crossing of the River Wyre. With rooms, a restaurant and bar, it boasts enviable views of the surrounding Fylde countryside, looking across to the quietly beautiful Bowland fells.
The Cartford's menu is an expression of Lancashire’s food culture and a showcase of the region’s best produce. Local and seasonal ingredients are used wherever possible, prepared sensitively by their skilful team of chefs led by Chris Bury. This includes seafood from Fleetwood docks, meat from nearby farms and seasonal, locally shot game. Alongside favourite British dishes, you’ll find more innovative flavours, as well as a discernible proprietary French influence.
To absorb yourself fully in The Cartford, their diverse range of accommodation sets them apart; from a Petite luxury, Deluxe, Ground floor or Executive Bedrooms. Reach new heights in the luxurious space of the penthouse or plump for the cosiness of one of their four amazing attic bedrooms. For a cool escape you can even book one of the two cabins located at the end of the property (Ziggys and Robin’s nest), with its own landscaped grounds and an amazing view of the serpentine river.
Patrick and Julie run this place with raw passion and a twist of eccentricity; resulting in an experience which must be seen to be believed.
